Easy to make, Eggless Donut Recipe

Ingredients –

Donuts –

1/4th cup – Warm Milk

3tbsp – Sugar

2tsp – Yeast

2 cups – All purpose flour

1/8th tsp – Salt

½ cup – Water

1 and ½ tbsp – Salted Butter

Butter Paper

Oil for brushing the donuts

Cooking Oil

Decorations –

As required – Dark or any other chocolate of your choice

As required – Powered Sugar

As required – Different types of sprinkles

As required – Chocolate chips


Procedure –

01. Take the warm milk in a bowl and add the sugar, then stir well.

02. Add the yeast to the mixture and mix it.

03. Leave this mixture aside for 15 minutes and you will see that the mixture has swollen because the yeast has activated.

04. In another bowl, take the all purpose flour and add salt to it, mix it well.

05. Add the activated yeast mixture to the flour and salt mixture.

06. Then add water to the above mixture.

07. Stretch and pull the dough and knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes to make it less sticky and you observe that it starts to come together.

08. Add the butter to the kneaded dough and mix it well with the dough.

09. Put the dough in a bowl, apply some oil, and cover it will a lid. Let this rest in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until you notice a double rise in the dough.

10. Knead the risen dough again for 2 minutes.

11. Roll the dough using a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 inch.

12. Cut the dough in the shape of the donuts either using a donut cutter or cookie cutter of different sizes or lids of different sizes.

13. Place the donut on to the butter paper and brush the donut with some oil. Repeat this step until all the donuts are cut out from the dough.

14. Cover these donuts and leave them for 15 mins. You will observe a rise again.

15. Put the cooking oil on medium flame to fry the donuts.

16. Put the donut in the oil and fry until golden brown from both the sides.

17. Put some water in a pan, place it on the stove and then put some chocolate in a bowl and place it on the water pan to melt the chocolate.

18. To decorate the donuts, dip it in the melted chocolate or powered sugar and sprinkle the sprinklers or the chocolate chips on the donut.

Tips –

1. The milk should not be hot but warm otherwise the yeast will not activate properly.

2. Fix the mixture made in Step 03 does not swollen, do not use that yeast.

3. Don’t leave the dough in Step 09 for a longer time otherwise the yeast might loose a lot of water.

4. In Step 15, do not drop the butter paper in the oil and do not touch the dough.

5. If you see a rapid browning in Step 16, lower the flame.

6. Do not use Dairy Milk Chocolate in Step 17 as it does not melt properly. Prefer using compound chocolates.
